Fruit of Gentleness

Gentleness is something I have never been known for. I am a bit assertive and can be someone’s iron in the old “iron sharpens iron” Scripture. In its place has been anger brought on by years of abuse and pain. Anger is the easiest emotion to tap into, and why many of us never reach our full potential in Christ.

God designed us to be balanced. Anger in and of itself is not sin. However, when we sin in our anger, we are out of alignment.

The fruit of Gentleness is what brings about balance to anger

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. – Galatians 5:22-23
